Oldenburg Academy junior Rachel Suttman won the 2025 discus championship at the IHSAA girls track and field regional at Lawrence Central Tuesday night.
Suttman placed first with a throw of 117.7 and qualified for next Saturday’s state finals.
“We are so proud of her. There isn’t a more deserving athlete. A regional champion is an understatement for this young woman. She shows up everyday ready to work and sets the right example for the team,” said OA coach Jacob Koehne. “We hope to see everyone come out and support her at State!”
