Congratulations to Santiago Schutte on a fantastic final swim as an OA Twister in the 50 Freestyle Indiana State preliminaries. Santiago had his best 50 Free swim ever (in Lane 8), going 21.56 seconds. He extended his own personal OA school record in the 50 Freestyle and will graduate from OA with ownership of two swim records in the 50 and 100 Freestyle.
Additionally, his overall State ranking is 20th in the 50 Free. So, a stellar finish to a great swimming career at OA. Thank You, Santiago , we are all proud and happy for you on your great achievement!!
Congratulations to Nash King on making it back to the Saturday Championships in both of his events, the 200 IM and the 500 Free. On Friday, Ram went 1:50.92 in the 200 IM to earn the 9th overall position and the top spot in the Consolation Heat for Saturday. Likewise, went 4:34.22 in the 500 Free to finish 8th overall and a spot in the State Championship Heat for Saturday. He came ready to rock and roll on Saturday going a new OA record time of 1:50.47 in the 200 IM and taking First Place in the Consolation Heat. He saved the best for last with his 500 Free
swim finishing in 6th Place overall in the State with a new OA record time of 4:29.93.
