North Decatur hosted South Decatur Tuesday in volleyball. The Chargers won 25-14, 25-13 and 25-15 to improve to 9-2 on the season.
“Both the varsity and JV Lady Chargers played consistent volleyball to keep the Cougars at bay all evening,” said North Decatur coach Kylie Ricke. “To help secure the win, Aubrey Kennelly contributed five aces and made no errors out of her 18 serves. Hannah Gorrell had two aces and also no errors out of her 24 serves. Madelyn Bohman put the ball away with her 10 kills. Caroline Stapp contributed eight kills and Madi Allen and Aubrey Kennelly both had five kills. Sami Luttel made the connections with her hitters with her 25 assists.”
Ricke continued, “For the JV win against the Cougars in two sets, Tyce Robbins picked up six digs, Anna Mauer had four and Kelsey Haley had three. Setters Sofia Gonzalez and Clare Kinker had four and three assists respectively. Haley contributed eight aces and Kinker served three.”
