Jennings County, IN — On Wednesday deputies from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mark Liles, 23, of North Vernon on an allegation of Felony Rape.
The arrest comes after a nearly four-month investigation that began on October 9, after a sheriff deputy was notified that a juvenile female alleges to have been the victim of an unwanted sexual encounter while at a residence in Sand Creek Township, just south of Westport.
During the investigation, it alleges that Liles picked the female up at her residence and took her to remote a cabin in Sand Creek Township where Liles made unwanted sexual advances after being told to stop.
Liles is currently being held in the Jennings County Jail with no bond.
