Rush, County, In. — Dave Omara Contractor Inc. has been awarded a $1.4 million contract to rehab a bridge on State Road 244 over Flatrock River and to replace a culvert over Hurricane Creek, west of State Road 3 in Milroy.
SR 244 will be closed for up to three weeks at the Hurricane Creek bridge. Traffic will be detoured via I-74 and SR 3. After the closure, SR 244 will be restricted down to one lane at the Flatrock River for up to 120 days. A temporary traffic will be installed to regulate both directions of traffic sharing one lane in the work zone.
A start date will be announced after the contractors submit their project schedule. The project is anticipated to be completed by fall 2018.
