Rush County resident to challenge Zeimke in District 55

Batesville, In. — Rush County resident and current commissioner, Mark Bacon has entered the race for state representative in District 55 as a Republican.

Bacon has been a lifelong resident of Rush County and has served on the Farm Bureau Executive Committee, Luke Messer’s Agriculture Advisory Council, past chairman of the Indiana Ag Law Foundation, Director of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and has participated in foreign trade trip to Japan with the U.S. Meat Export Federation and to Korea with the U.S.A. Poultry Egg Export Council. Bacon also participated in $-H for 10 years and FFA for four years.

Bacon describes himself as pro-life, pro-agriculture, pro-gun rights and wants to promote family values.

Bacon has been married to his wife Linda for 40 years, has two grown children and has three grandchildren.
