The Lady Chargers kicked off their last week of the regular season with an easy win against Southwestern Shelby!
Their outside hitters, Madi Allen and Sydney Rohls both scored 13 points in kills against Southwestern. Setter Kelsey Haley had a great game with 39 assists, 7 digs, and 100% on serves. Miley Scudder put away 11 kills, Sophie Rohls added 6 kills, and Sarah Moeller and Hannah Gorrell each added a kill. Libero Hannah Gorrell had 24 digs and 19 received serves. Clare Kinker picked up 8 digs and received 18 serves. Sydney Rohls led in aces against Southwestern, scoring 6 points. Madi Allen, Sarah Moeller, and Kelsey Haley each had 2 aces and Hannah Gorrell added an ace.
The JV Lady Chargers also added another win to their record! They defeated Southwestern in 2 sets (25-9, 25-17).
Eliza Kenelly and Ellie Johnson picked up 6 digs each. Oakley Freel grabbed 5 digs and Maggie Burkhart hustled for 4 digs. Brynlee Green added 3 digs and Haylee Schoettmer added 2. Kennelly and Green each scored 2 aces and Burkhart, Johnson, and Sara Litmer all added an ace as well. Oakley Freel led the offense with 5 kills, Lydia Rennekamp added 3 kills, and Brynlee Green, Maggie Burkhart, and Eliza Kennelly each added 2 kills. Maggie Burkhart enabled the offense with her 11 assists.
Senior night is on Tuesday, October 8th. They get to celebrate their 5 seniors – Kelsey Haley, Clare Kinker, Sydney Rohls, Madi Allen, and Hannah Gorrell, at their last home game for the season. JV starts at 5:30 PM and they take on Triton Central.
