A 23-point second quarter propelled host North Decatur to a 43-14 victory over Switzerland County Friday.
ND outrushed Switz 355 to 46. Both Reid Messer and Kaleb Phelps topped the century mark in ground yards. Messer ran for 173 and two touchdowns. Phelps carried for 111. James Evans added 58 yards on one TD tote.
Charger quarterback Carson Parmer completed only six passes for 87 yards, but three tosses went for six points each. Kaden Muckerheid caught two scoring passes and led the team in receiving with 51 yards. James Evans snagged the other touchdown through the air.
Pacer quarterback Matt Davis accounted for both of his team’s touchdowns. In just three pass attempts, two found the end zone to teammates Colton Parks and Tyler Hoskins. Hoskins was the top Switz receiver with 64 yards.
