Norma Jean Cauble, of Lima, Ohio and formerly of Sunman, was born on May 30, 1936. The cherished daughter of Bert and Elma Cooper (née Ford), she was known to all who loved her simply as Nan, a name that reflected the warmth and affection she so generously gave. She was a proud graduate of Shawnee High School in Louisville. On September 8, 1956, Norma was united in marriage to Sterling L. Cauble. Together, they built a beautiful family and a life devoted to serving others through ministry and the Word of the Lord. She was employed by the Sunman Dearborn Community School Corporation for more than ten years as a teacher’s aide. A devoted preacher’s wife, Norma was the heart of her family, the steady presence who kept the household running smoothly. She faithfully served alongside her husband at Sunman Community Church from 1960 to 1980, and then at Sunman Bible Church from 1980 until their retirement in 2010. She had been a dedicated member of the Evangelical Church Alliance since 1960, frequently traveling to attend conferences and gatherings. In her spare time, Norma enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Above all, she treasured the precious time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved family.
On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 89, Norma passed away peacefully with family by her side at her daughter’s residence in Lima, Ohio.
