(Blooming Grove, IN) – There were no injuries reported following a mobile home fire at the intersection of Maple Street and State Road 1 just south of Blooming Grove on Tuesday morning.
The trailer was fully engulfed by the time crews from the Blooming Grove and Brookville volunteer fire departments arrived on the scene shortly before 7 a.m.
Fire officials say they were able to contain the blaze to one end of the structure, but the rest of the home sustained significant smoke and heat damage.
Along with battling the fire, crews dealt with other challenges such as freezing equipment and water.
The homeowners and their dog safely escaped the flames.
Letts EMS-Franklin County Paramedics also responded.
