(Greensburg, IN) – Crews were called shortly before 4:30 Tuesday afternoon to a fire at 330 North Davidson Street, Apt. 4 in Greensburg.
Firefighters arriving on the scene found black smoke in the unit and evacuations taking place.
A Greensburg police officer used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out.
The flames and black smoke were caused by a grease fire in the kitchen. Damage is estimated at $1,500. There were no injuries.
The apartment was ventilated by Greensburg firefighters before the residents were allowed back in.
GFD received assistance from the Letts Volunteer Fire Department and Decatur County EMS.
