BATESVILLE – Local law enforcement agencies will gather along with the public to celebrate National Night Out in Batesville Monday.
The annual event is designed to raise awareness about crime and drug prevention. The goal is to develop stronger relationships with local police and build support and participation in anti-crime programs.
National Night Out features a free cookout, swimming and door prizes at the Memorial Pool Monday from 5:00-8 p.m.
Metamora will have it’s event Tuesday night at Bible Baptist Church from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
National Night Out began in 1984 and now involves over 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all fifty states.
