Nathan Paul “Nate” Christman, age 36, of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on February 12, 1981, in Madison, Indiana, the loving son of, Kevin Wayne Christman and Debbie Lynn (Meisberger) Allen. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1999 graduate of the Switzerland County High School where he was the star basketball player and golfer. Nate attended the Manchester University for a semester and transferred to Purdue University where he studied landscaping for three years. Nate was united in marriage on July 19, 2008 to Inez Beckwith and to this union arrived a daughter, Sierra Blaze and a son, Clayton Hunter to bless their home. Nate was employed as an equipment operator for LG&E Power Plant in Trimble County, Kentucky, for six months. He was also employed at the Payson, Arizona Golf Course for two years. Nate enjoyed farming the Christman Family Farms. Nate was employed as a landscaper for Bath Nursery in Fort Collins, Colorado, for six months. He resided most of his life in the Switzerland County community and for the past nine months in the Fort Collins, Colorado community. Nate was raised in the Switzerland Baptist Church and attended The Grove Christian Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. Nate enjoyed spending time with his kids and his family, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and playing sports. Nate passed away with his loving family by his side at 4:53 pm, Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.
Nate will be deeply missed by his children, Sierra Blaze and Clayton Hunter Christman of Laramie, WY; his mother and step-father, Debbie Lynn (Meisberger) and Bert Allen of Vevay, IN; his father, Kevin Wayne Christman of Madison, IN; his step-mother, Terrie (Sutton) Christman of Madison, IN; his brother, Matt Christman and his wife, Jessi and their son, Connor of Bedford, KY; his half-brother, Tyler Christman of Bedford, KY; his half-sister, Bethany Christman of Louisville, KY; his maternal-grandmother, M. Maxine (Haas) Meisberger of Madison, IN; his paternal-grandparents, William “Bill” and Wanda (Scudder) Christman of Vevay, IN; his maternal aunt and uncle, Denise and Gregg Brown of Mason, OH; his paternal aunts and uncles, Keith Christman and his fiancée, Tara Richmond of near Canaan, IN and Kathy and Danny Covington of Vevay, IN; his cousins, Travis Brown of West Chester, OH, Zach Brown of Columbus, OH, Erica Soule and her husband, Lucas of Madison, IN, Erin Jackson of Vevay, IN, Lacey Johnson and her husband, Jake of Bedford, KY, Dustin Christman and his wife, Megan of Milton, KY, Lisa Ahluwalia and her husband, Shilpi of New Hyde Park, NY and Lesley Covington of New York, NY and his several others cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal-grandfather, Chester Allen Meisberger, died February 27, 2012.
Graveside Services will be conducted Monday, September 11, 2017, at 10:00 am, at the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 Madison, Indiana 47250.
