The Oldenburg Academy (OA) swim team had a standout performance at the South Dearborn Invitational, highlighted by Nash King’s record-breaking swims and multiple medal finishes. King secured first place in both the 200 Free and 100 Breast, setting personal bests and breaking meet records in both events. His time of 58.37 in the 100 Breast shattered the previous OA record set in 2016 by John Pelzel (59.13). King’s efforts earned him the title of “Outstanding Male Swimmer,” as voted by the participating team coaches.
The Boys Medley Relay team also made history, breaking the OA school record with a time of 
1:47.32, surpassing last year’s mark of 1:48.44. The record-setting relay featured Nash King (backstroke), Santiago Schutte (breaststroke), Sully Hill (butterfly), and Grant Rosenberger (freestyle).
Santiago Schutte added to OA’s success, earning a first-place medal in the 50 Free, just 0.6 seconds shy of the school record.

For the first time under Coach Jerry Fry’s tenure, the OA Boys finished ahead of Milan and La Salle in this invitational, marking a significant achievement. The OA Girls also impressed, scoring 133 points with just four swimmers—Caroline Niese, Ella Maxwell, Avery Austin, and Alejandra Schutte—demonstrating their determination and talent.
Every OA swimmer contributed individual points, showcasing a true team effort.
