Naomi Barton-Hibbard

Naomi Barton-Hibbard, age 84 formerly of Osgood, passed away Tuesday, April 14 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg. She was born April 1, 1936 in Bryantsburg, IN to the late Carl Emerson and Anna Louise Housefield Farrell.

Naomi had great faith and trust in the Lord. She shared Christ with others as a way of life. With this great loving spiritual strength, aside from raising her own children, she became a foster parent for 30 years, taking care of nearly 50 children. She simply loved babies and children!
After her fostering career, she joined Life Time Resources of Dillsboro and delivered Meals on Wheels to many citizens in the surrounding areas. She never missed a day when she was to work, saying she “might be the only person these people would see that day,” and that was important to her!
Over the years in the community, she attended area churches, Hope Baptist, Cedar Creek and Bethany Baptist were among them. Naomi was also a creator of poetry and songs that she would share with family and friends.

Survivors include:
Son: “Kebby” Kenneth Eadens of Osgood
