Versailles, In. — Libraries in Osgood and Versailles will present the program, “A World of Faith and Cultures in our Neighborhoods” Saturday, August 19. The program is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the Osgood Public Library and 2 p.m. at the Tyson Library in Versailles.
Professors Sarah Imhoff and Ashlee Andrews from Indiana University’s Religions Department will discuss the practices of a variety of religios communities in the United States. The information will include attire, styles of prayer or worship, gender roles and texts.
Similar program were presented in Milan and Batesville earlier this year.
The Ripley County Tourism Bureau, Batesville Memorial Public Library, Milan Public Library, Osgood Public Library, and Tyson Library in Versailles are continuing their partnership for the special program. “We had such a wonderful, encouraging response from the public we’re very excited to present the second day of this enlightening program,” noted Katherine Taul, director of the Ripley County Tourism Bureau.
