Mrs. Tamara Kay “Tammy” (Armstrong) Cole

Mrs. Tamara Kay “Tammy” (Armstrong) Cole, age 63, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on July 26, 1961 in Dearborn County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Basil Verle and Glenda Lee (Graves) Armstrong. She was raised in Patriot, Indiana and was a 1979 graduate of Switzerland County High School. She attended Southeastern Indiana Career Center and received her state cosmetology certificate in 1979. Tammy was united in marriage on August 7, 1982 to Duane Cole at Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana and to this union arrived two daughters, Brittany and Courtney. Tammy and Duane lived in Colorado and Utah for several years before moving back to the Switzerland County community in 1986. Tammy was a beautician from 1979 – 1981. She was then employed in banking and finance from 1981 – 1991 and was an Instruction Assistant for Switzerland County Elementary School from 1991 – 1994. Tammy owned and operated Tammy’s Stitch and Go! from 1994 – 2005, where she successfully ran a shirt business doing embroidery, screen printing, digital garment printing. Tammy was employed for Switzerland County School Corporation as a school bus driver from 2000 – 2025. She took pride in treating all the kids as her own kids! Tammy was a member of Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana. Tammy enjoyed sewing, Pinterest, antiques, auctions, crafting and doing puzzles with her grand kids and thrift shopping with her sister. Tammy passed away at 4:51 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Edgewood in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Tammy will be deeply missed by her husband of 42 years, Duane Cole of Florence, IN; her daughters, Brittany See and her husband, Chris of Owenton, KY and Courtney Kindler and her husband, Ian of Aurora, IN; her grandchildren, Emma, Kaylee and Lewis See, Grace, Hadlee and Lillian Kindler; her stepmother, Carol Ann Armstrong of Patriot, IN; her sister, Rhonda Otter and her husband, Donnie of Moorefield, IN; her brother, Shane Armstrong and his wife, Carla of Fairview, IN; her step-sister, Angie Hoagland and her husband, Greg of Eckerty, IN and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Basil Verle Armstrong, died October 17, 2008 and her mother, Glenda Lee (Graves) Armstrong, died June 26, 1974.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.a

Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana.
