Mrs. Rhodia Ellen (Carr) McEndree, age 86, of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on October 31, 1939 in Rockholds, Kentucky. She was raised in Williamsburg, Kentucky and later moved to Vevay, Indiana where she attended school. Rhodia was united in marriage on June 19, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Granville W. “Bill” McEndree. Rhodia was formerly employed for the US Shoe Factory and Randall Textron in Vevay, Indiana for several years. She was also employed as a porter for Grand Victoria Casino & Resort in Rising Sun, Indiana. Rhodia enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. Rhodia passed away at 6:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at The Waters of Rising Sun in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Rhodia will be missed by her daughter, Rebby Dotson and her husband, Dan of Rising Sun, IN; her grandchildren, Catrina, Laura, Jake, Amy, Rocky, Jesse, Todd, and Morgan; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nathaniel, Madison, Adrian, Dylan, Remy, Kally, Tanner, Jenna, Kelby, Brayden, Brycen, Elliott, and Aurora; her great-great-grandchildren, Brylee, Owen and baby girl on the way; her sister-in-law, Alice Carr of Greendale, IN and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Brad Carr and Rebecca C. (Walters) Carr; her husband, Granville William “Bill” McEndree, died January 29, 1996; her sons, Granville William “Billy” McEndree, Jr., died December 6, 2014, and Joseph McEndree, died January 2025 and her brothers, Homer, Arthur, and James Carr.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
