Mr. William E. “Bill” Levell, age 77, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on November 19, 1947 in Milan, Indiana. He was the son of the late Cecil and Marie Katherine (Sigmon) Levell. He was raised in East Enterprise, Indiana and was a 1965 graduate of the Vevay High School. At the young age of 17, Bill was employed for Thatcher Glass in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for several years. Bill was united in marriage on October 11, 1985 in Boone County, Kentucky. This happy blended family of 40 years was blessed with a son Brian and a daughter Tammy. Bill was employed for Seagram’s Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, retiring in 2000, after 32 years of service. He was formerly employed for Stedman Foundry in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for three months. He was also a former employee for Dickerson Auto Body for five years and for Swiss Auto Body for three years. Bill was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 13D of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Grants Creek Baptist Church. Bill took great pride in his work and had a lifelong passion for auto body repair. Bill passed away at 11:42 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his residence in East Enterprise, Indiana.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Lee (Westmeyer) of East Enterprise, IN; his son, Brian Levell and his wife, Dawn of East Enterprise, IN; his step-daughter, Tammy Prissel of Greendale, IN; his grandchildren, Bryan Levell (Hayley), Justin Levell, Nikki Meyer (Evan Simmons), Charity Ward (Calvin), Kayla English (Colin), Jessica Kummer, and Dustin Cornelius; his great-grandchildren, Carter Levell, Ashton Levell, Landin Levell, Liam Levell, Madison Meyer, Nolan Meyer, Calvin Ward, Conner Ward, Emma English, Cade English, Kaiden Kummer, Kenneth Kummer, Levi Simmons, and McKenna Simmons; his sisters, Linda K. Levell of Rising Sun, IN, and Sharon Wainscott and her husband, Bill of Dry Ridge, KY; his sister-in-law, Helen Levell of Vevay, IN; his brother-in-law, Dennis Gilland of Milan, IN; and his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Marie Katherine (Sigmon) Levell; his great-granddaughter, Kylynn Marie Kummer; his sister, Kathy Gilland; his brothers, Paul David Levell, Sr. and Harold Raymond Levell; and his sister-in-law, Vannie Lou Levell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana.
