More Than 60 Units to Take Part in Decatur Co. Fair Parade

(Greensburg, IN) – More than 60 units – including one from 103.9 WRBI – will be in the 2025 Decatur County Fair parade, which steps off at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 13.

This year’s theme is “The Year of the Farmer.”

Families who have received Sesquicentennial or Bicentennial Hoosier Homestead awards from the state will be honored as this year’s Grand Marshal. They are the McCoy, Hamilton Batterton, Miller Hahn and Spillman families.

Lineup for the parade begins at 2 p.m.

Four $25 awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Best entry representing the theme “The Year of the Farmer”
  • Most enthusiastic entry
  • Best overall design
  • Entry with the most participants (riders or walkers)

The parade will start on Ireland Street in front of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, turn right onto West Park Avenue and continue through the Decatur County Fairgrounds until it reaches the South County Road 200 West (see photo).

If you did not pre-register, you can show up the day of the parade, let organizers know this and they will place you in the lineup.
