DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. — A Milroy man has been arrested after he fled from police.
According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Scott Tackett was arrested on multiple charges of resisting law enforcement.
Police say deputies heard a call regarding an intoxicated driver.
Deputies later saw a vehicle driving in a field that matched the description in the report.
Tackett saw the deputy, started his vehicle and attempted to flee from police by driving through the field into another field.
The deputy saw the lights on Tackett’s vehicle go out and observed him leave the vehicle.
The deputy pursued on foot and apprehended Tackett.
The deputy smelled alcohol on Tackett, and he agreed to a sobriety test at the jail.
