Milan Swimming Hosts Tri-Meet

(Milan, IN) – Milan Girls Swimming continued their winning ways in sweeping Batesville and Lawrenceburg in a tri-meet hosted by the Indians Thursday evening, while the Milan boys team defeated the Tigers but came up short against the Bulldogs.

The event in the Milan Elementary School pool was scored as separate dual meets.

Girls team scores were Milan 111, Lawrenceburg 56; Milan 110, Batesville 81; and Batesville 104, Lawrenceburg 65.

Scores in the boys meet were Milan 106, Lawrenceburg 21; Batesville 100, Milan 88; and Batesville 131, Lawrenceburg 16.

Milan now sets its sights on the Ohio River Valley Conference meet on Saturday at Southwestern High School in Hanover where the Indians boys and girls teams hope to defend their titles.

All local high school teams have entered the second half of the season and are preparing for sectional competition. The girls will compete at East Central while the boys travel to Columbus North.
