(Milan, IN) – Milan High School recently held its annual Best Effort Day.

Principal Ryan Langferman started the event in 2014.

It recognizes students who bring their best effort every day to Milan High School.

School officials say deserving students are afforded the opportunity to step out of the classroom and immerse themselves in various community service activities including updating paint, clearing brush, planting flowers, and helping beautify the Town of Milan and its park.

Best Effort Day is not only a day of service but a celebration of achievement.

As a token of appreciation, students are treated to pizza and are allowed to leave school early.

Students who qualify for Best Effort Day cannot have not earned any grades lower than a “C” and have no unexcused absences or missing assignments.
