(Milan, IN) – The Milan community will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the movie Hoosiers when the Indians’ boys basketball team hosts South Dearborn tomorrow night (Saturday, February 14).
In a special partnership with the Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum, the Indians’ varsity team will, for the first time ever, take the court in Hickory uniforms similar to the ones worn in the 1986 motion picture starring Gene Hackman, Barbara Hershey and Dennis Hopper.
The film is based on the miraculous and legendary 1954 Milan state basketball championship.
Tickets are available at the door.
The varsity game tips off around 7:30 but if you can’t attend, you can hear it on WRBI. Coverage begins around 7:15 on 103.9 FM and the WRBI App.
