County pool in North Vernon on Saturday.

The SEISA has existed as a competitive swim conference since 1976, giving thousands of boys and girls the opportunity to participate in the sport of swimming in this area of Indiana.

The eight teams competing included host Jennings County, Switzerland County, Southwestern (Hanover), Milan, Batesville, Decatur County, Hidden Valley and South Dearborn, totaling nearly 300 swimmers. It was a high-energy, competitive meet with several meet records broken by Milan swimmer Dylan Thomas and Batesville swimmer Nash King along with outstanding times and close finishes in individual events and team relays.

Three teams, including the two Ripley County representatives, were closely watching results to the finish to see which team would capture the overall title.

For the fourth time in conference history, a Milan team has captured the team title with its roster of 39 boys and girls ages 5-17. This is the first team championship under the Milan Aquatics name. The coaches for Milan Aquatics are Steve Stock and Tori Haessig.
