Michael L. Ellison II, 42, of Osgood passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home. Michael was born on Thursday, November 18, 1982, in Owosso, Michigan; son of Venette and Troy Burkhart, and the late David Lee Ellison. Michael married the love of his life, Andrea (Dornbach) Ellison, on August 22, 2009, and she survives him. Michael worked as a cook at Hog Rock and also worked as a clerk at the Dollar General in Napoleon. He was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church. He loved to go fishing with his children and loved going to races. Michael was known to be a true family man and dearly loved all of his family, especially his children.
Michael will be missed by his wife Andrea Ellison of Osgood; sons Seth Dornbach and Noah Ellison of Osgood; daughter Alea Ellison of Osgood; mother Venette (Troy) Burkhart of Aurora; brothers Brett Ellison of Gaston, Indiana, Jason (Tiona Goodpaster) Ellison of Moores Hill, and Eric (Toni) Burkhart of Connersville; brother-in-law Bryan Dornbach of Erlanger, Kentucky; mother-in-law Lori Litton of Osgood; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father David Lee Ellison; maternal grandmother LaVerne Auel; paternal grandfather Walter Ellison; and nephew Mikey Burkhart.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. Services will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Chad Schwering officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Michael to the family.
