Mary Sue Deaton, age 71, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Lincoln Center East in Connersville, Indiana.
Born January 19, 1945 in Peppertown, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Snobee (Carroll) McDaniel. On October 17, 1964 she was united in marriage to Bill Deaton Jr., and he survives.
She worked for many years at the Dairy Cottage Restaurant in Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, gardening and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Bill Deaton of Brookville; two sons, John Deaton and Bill Deaton III, both of Brookville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Lydia, Zach, Curtis, Danny, Hannah, and Holden; two brothers, George McDaniel of Brookville, Indiana and Bob McDaniel of Peppertown, Indiana.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lee Anne Ward who died 1/26/2005; three sisters, Patricia Flowers, Geri Kelly, Thelma Greenway; and two brothers, Kenneth and Joe McDaniel.
Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Ron McCulloch, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church, will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will then follow in Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield, Indiana.
