Mary F. Cordell, 63, of Versailles passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Cincinnati on March 28, 1953 the daughter of Raymond and Roxie Trimble Pierce. She was married to Roy Cordell and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2014. Survivors include one daughter Marie (Albert) Sturgill of Versailles; one son Forest Huddelston of Milan; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister Wanda Wingate of Aurora; also her fiancé Dr. Marvin Moore of Rising Sun. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Cordell was a 1971 graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati. She was a former employee of Hillenbrand Industries in Batesville and was currently the owner and operator of Four Paws Boarding and Grooming in Versailles. Mary had a tremendous love of animals and provided excellent care and attention to all of her “furry friends”. Mary was a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4th at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. Logan Fugate of the Cross Plains Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Marble Corner Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Ripley County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
