Marion Eugene Whipple, 82, of Greensburg passed away on January 29, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1942, in Greensburg, the son of Virgil and Sarah (Elder) Whipple. Marion was a 1960 graduate of Burney High School. He married Arleen Robbins and together they had two children: Debbie and Kenneth. Marion was a farmer and was a supervisor at Printpack for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Carpenter; son, Kenneth (Nancy) Whipple; grandchildren, Alex Razor, Chris (Hannah) Whipple, Aaron Carpenter and Landon Carpenter; great grandchildren, Knox Whipple and Reed Whipple; brother, Dallas E. Whipple; sister, Betty (Larry) Louden. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son in law, Scott Carpenter.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Pastor Bob Leitgabel will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Liberty Baptist Church.
