Marian June Wilson

Marian June Wilson, age 91 of Napoleon passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, and entered into her eternal home.  She was born on December 11, 1932 in Batesville, the daughter of the late Archie “Arno” and Gladys (Abplanalp) Uphaus.  She was a graduate of Batesville High School class of 1951.

She would meet and marry Shellie Wilson on February 25, 1956, the love of her life.  They began their life together living on a farm just west of Lookout.  As their family grew, they moved to their forever home just north of Napoleon and have spent the remainder of their life there.   They would have celebrated their 68th anniversary this February.

Marian was a dedicated Christian, spending her life serving others, attending the Napoleon Methodist Church where she played the piano, then Solid Rock Bible Fellowship where she played piano for nearly 25 years, shining the love of Christ wherever she was. She volunteered at Manderley Health Care Center for many years, and then became Activities Director for over 20 years. She loved the residents and they loved her.

Along with her faith, her family was the center of her world.  She enjoyed raising her children, and loved being with her grandkids.  She still enjoyed playing the piano, doing a word search, and collecting elephants.

She will be dearly missed by husband Shellie Wilson, sons:  Paul (Ardy) Wilson and Melvin (Trinette) Wilson, daughters:  Susan (Tony) Brewsaugh, Pam (Jeff) Peters, Sheila (Dennis) Werner, and Nancy (Allen) Redelman, 17 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren, also many nieces , nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers:  Russell and Bob, sisters: Janet and Thelma, son-in-law Harlan Adams, grandson Denny Joe Werner, and great grandson Gavin Lee.
