The most important things in Marguerite’s life were faith and family. She regularly read her bible and taught Sunday school at four churches in addition to holding Sunday school for the grandkids in her kitchen. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. According to her family, Marguerite was a good cook. Her fried chicken was especially good and served every Sunday. Apparently though, she had quite a sweet tooth and often would skip over the meal and go directly for the dessert.
She is survived by her husband Dave; daughters Cheryl (Mike) Leach of Bixby, Oklahoma, Lori (Pete) Smoke of Spavinau, Oklahoma; sons Steven (Melissa), Jeffery and Matthew (Susan) Williamson, all of Batesville; mother Hazel Norman of Sunman; sister Hilda Powell of Batesville; brothers Jim Norman of Sunman, John Norman of Batesville, Don Norman of Sunman; eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29th, from 5 – 7 p.m. with funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30th, all at the Weigel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Craven’s Cemetery in Milan. The family requests memorials to Riley Children’s Hospital.
