(Batesville, IN) – Brad Marcy is the City of Batesville’s new Clerk-Treasurer.
Marcy was elected at a Republican caucus held Tuesday at the Memorial Building.
He was the lone declared candidate to fill the vacancy created by Paul Gates’ retirement.
“I’m just looking forward to the opportunity to use my professional experience to help the City of Batesville,” Marcy told WRBI News.
He spent the last 11 years in Corporate Tax at Hillenbrand, Inc. and has served on several local boards, including the Batesville Community Education Foundation.
Following his election, Marcy was sworn in by Mayor John Irrgang.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I hope to serve Batesville well and continue to be transparent about how the city operates,” Marcy added.
He is a Batesville native, and lives in the city with his wife Margaret, son Zach, and daughter Alyssa.
