Loretta “Betty” (Bishop) Hensley, age 76, of Rising Sun, Indiana, Betty entered this life on January 13, 1942, in Pineville, Kentucky, the loving daughter of the late, Everett Bishop and Evelyn (Napier) Hamilton. She was raised in Pineville, Kentucky where she was a 1959 graduate of the Pineville High School. Betty was a former waitress for Chili Time Restaurant in St. Bernard, Ohio, retiring in 2008, after 33 years of service. She resided in Cincinnati, Ohio and for the past nine years in the Rising Sun community. Betty enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading. Betty passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018, at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children, Bill Bingham of Aurora, IN, Lee Allen and her husband: Don of Rising Sun, IN, Nancy Hensley of Rising Sun, IN, Bobby Hensley and his wife: Monica of Vevay, IN and Jody Hensley of Florence, IN; her grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Meghan, Lydia, Ethan, Jacqueline and Raychel; her great-grandson, Logan; her sisters, Juanita Brothers of Georgetown, KY, Sheila Lynette of Greensburg, IN, Melvina Wellbrock of Cincinnati, OH and Sandy Vierling of Cincinnati, OH; her brothers, Earl Jackson of East Enterprise, IN, Benny Jackson of East Enterprise, IN, Pastor David Jackson of Cincinnati, OH, Harold “Harry” Jackson of West Harrison, IN and Howard “Pete” Jackson of East Enterprise, IN; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Jackson of Rising Sun, IN and Donna Bishop of Rising Sun, IN and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Bishop and Evelyn (Napier) Hamilton; her brothers, Herbert Bishop, Leon Jackson, Jr. and Renfro “Tubby” Bishop and her sister-in-law, Judith D. Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., by Rev. Don Allen, Jr. at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
