Lorena “Rena” B. Riley (nee: Kash), of New Point, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at her daughter’s house, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Lorena was born September 1, 1937 in Beattyville, KY to George and Sarah (Chambers) Kash. She married Albert Riley on September 25, 1962. He proceeded her in death in October of 1988.
A lover of cooking, Lorena was an avid gardener and could be found canning enough homegrown goods for the whole community. She enjoyed quilting, bingo and loved going to the zoo. Most important to her of all was her loving family.
Survivors include daughter, Sarah and son-in-law, Larry Riehle and son Joe Rico Riley. Grandchildren, Jeff and Stacy Riehle, Sarah Leeann Riehle, and Kayla Riley. Great grandchildren, Carson Riehle, Kaylee Riehle, and Tristan Hess. Sister, Joy Hollan and brother, Daniel Kash.
She was proceeded in death by her parents George and Sarah Kash, her husband Albert Riley, granddaughter Kira Riley, sister Mary Wilson and brothers George Kash Jr, Willie Kash, Cordy Kash, Virgil Kash, Gordon Kash, Jimmie Kash and Dorcey Kash.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held for immediate family at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, IN.
