Local sorority making Christmas brighter for cancer patients

Batesville, IN — Phi Beta Psi Sorority is known in the community for its philanthropy towards cancer research.  Each year they hold fundraisers to help raise funds to give locally to cancer patients and nationally for cancer research.  This year, with funds raised, the organization was able to give 25 cancer patients at Margaret Mary Health, a Christmas gift to bring joy during the holiday season.

According to Lisa Haessig, each year they find out those patients that are in financial need of help during the holidays and gift them with something that is individually special to each person. The Phi Beta Psi ladies also gave 26 poinsettia plants to cancer patients that just needed a boost during the holiday.
