Local Sorority Issues Scam Alert

(Batesville, IN) – Beta Sigma Phi Sorority wants you to know that scammers have interfered with this Sunday’s Holiday Bazaar.

The sorority says some of the vendors were asked to pay for a booth through PayPal, but Beta Sigma Phi doesn’t collect vendor money that way.

If you were contacted by someone other than Jan Prickel asking for money to pay for a booth at the bazaar, Beta Sigma Phi says that person is not affiliated with them, and that you need to contact authorities.

The sorority’s 52nd annual Holiday Bazaar will take place Sunday from 10 to 3 at Batesville Primary School.

Admission to is free, and all proceeds from the event support local charities.
