(Decatur County, IN) – We have this reminder that the annual springtime closure of County Road 250 West in Decatur County is coming up this week.
The road will be shut down between Base and Vandalia roads from Thursday until June 10 for Emergency Vehicle Operation (EVO) training.
The sessions are state-mandated and are held locally instead of sending first responders to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield which, officials say, saves the county money.
The training is conducted around the clock and while law enforcement officers are on duty.
Police from jurisdictions throughout the county plus EMTs will take part in the EVO training.
