Indianapolis, IN—Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, along with Indiana Family and Social Service Administration’s Division of Aging, announced that 23 senior citizens received the 2019 Golden Hoosier award.
Crouch said that the award began in 2008 and annually honors Hoosier senior citizens for their years of service and commitment to the state. The 23 recipients attended a ceremony at The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, which celebrated their achievements.
Local Golden Hoosier award recipients include:

- Elsie Hofmann – Connersville
- Bertie McKenna – Connersville
- Cherie Rump – Dillsboro
