(Statewide) – Decatur County resident and Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott has accepted the role of Secretary of Public Safety, according to a social media post from Gov. Mike Braun over the weekend.
Scott, who will continue as ISP Superintendent, replaces Jennifer Ruth-Green.
She started on the job in January but is leaving to fulfill military obligations.
Ruth-Green is an United States Air Force Academy graduate and combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Braun says he plans to announce more personnel updates in the Office of Public Safety in the early part of this week.
Scott was sworn in as the 21st State Police Superintendent back in January.
