Local prosecutor explains attendance at Trump rally

Lawrenceburg, IN — Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens issued a letter on Tuesday to explain her role in attending the rally in Washington D.C. on January 6.
In the letter, Deddens explains that she along with friends went to support the President as she had in 2017 at his inauguration as a Republican party member and former County Chair.

She explains that as the rally was over a mile and a half from the Capital and they decided to leave to beat the crowds out of town. Deddens alleges leaving the area around 12:30p and heading back to her hotel in Alexandra, VA to have lunch at a restaurant.

Deddens says she watched in horror as the events of the day unfolded from the restaurant TV. She also continued by saying she condemns violence and destruction and does not support the behavior that occurred that day.
