Statewide —The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has released the April 2021 county-wide unemployment numbers, and all four area counties showed lower jobless rates. Ripley and Decatur counties checked in at 3 percent, down from 3.9 percent in March; Franklin County was at 3.1 percent, down from 4.1 percent the month before; and Dearborn County was at 3.5 percent in April, down from 4.5 percent in March. All four counties are below the state’s jobless rate of 4.2 percent.
