Greensburg, IN — Decatur County Girl Scouts are hosting a 5k event on Saturday at Rebekah Park. The Cookie Crumbles 5K is designed to be a family event. The course involves a nature trail; a park that includes a splash pad, playground, picnic area; and more. The race starts at 9 am. The cost to register is $30 for participants age 13 and older and $15 for participants 12 and younger.
The proceeds will benefit the Girls Scouts Service Unit 702 which consists of girls from Kindergarten thru 12th grade and many adult volunteers from the area. Throughout the year, the Decatur County girls camp and participate in a variety of programs on a local and council level. It is their hope to fund more of these opportunities for the girls and that the Cookie Crumbles 5K Walk/Run will enable them to open up even more possibilities
