Decatur County, IN — The Decatur County Election Board is looking into a formal complaint made against a Sheriffs candidate.
The complaint centers around a photocopied handwritten letter that was mailed to local households before the November 8 election that did not have the required disclaimer, which typically reads, “Paid for by _______.”
There were also complaints about a mailed postcard and an advertisement that erroneously ran in a print publication without the disclaimer.
The Election Board will hold a formal administrative hearing on December 20 to consider the handwritten letter.
