Leon Ronald Sarringhaus, 84

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Leon Ronald Sarringhaus, age 84, of Hollister. Leon died in Groveland, California, where he had
traveled to share Thanksgiving with family. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Leon was born in Batesville, Indiana, on February 20, 1941, to Raymond and Hazel Sarringhaus. He attended Batesville High School and graduated in 1959. Leon furthered his education at Purdue University for two years before deciding to pursue his own path in the world.
Leon began his professional journey at RCA in Indianapolis, Indiana, marking his entry into the electronics and computer business. His time at RCA was the start of a successful and impactful career in the industry. His most cherished professional role was leading Disk Media Incorporated (DMI).
Leon is survived by his devoted wife, Joan. He was a loving parent to Jill Pfeiffer (Patrick), Rob Sarringhaus (Amy), Jerilyn Hagene (Steffen), and Rick Sarringhaus
(Anita). Leon was also a proud grandparent to John Pfeiffer (Maxine), Claire Huntoon (Reid), Jason Hagene, Sarah Hagene, Megan Sarringhaus, Caroline Sarringhaus, Emilie Sarringhaus, and Jack Sarringhaus. He was also a loving great-grandparent to Hazel Pfeiffer, Violet Pfeiffer, and Ellery Huntoon. He is also survived by his much-loved sisters, Eunice Sisson and Mary Lou Werner.

Leon’s life was a life well lived, filled with love and admiration from all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Every day, he looked forward to making a new friend. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos, January, 17 at 11:30.
