Patriot, In. — The Indiana Department of Transportation says plans to stabilize an embankment on State Road 250 near Patriot will require a closure that could last up to six weeks.
Workers from Geostabilization International will use 20 and 30 foot long soil nails to strengthen the 615-foot wide embankment. Once the soil nails are installed, mesh is applied then covered with a concrete-like material.
The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 18.
