Indianapolis, In. — Republican state senator from Oldenburg Jean Leising met with members of the Batesville Mayor’s Youth Council, an organization that engages youth with local government initiatives, at the Statehouse recently. The group discussed the differences between state and local government as well as how bills become laws through the legislative process.
