Lawrenceburg Schools put on lockdown following robbery, stabbing

LAWRENCEBURG, IN — Lawrenceburg Schools were put on exterior lockdown Wednesday morning following a stabbing near the school campus.

Police say a clerk at a nearby gas station was stabbed in the arm during a robbery. The clerk is expected to recover.

The lockdown was lifted less than an hour later after police reportedly spotted the suspect leaving the area in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a fluorescent green t-shirt, blue jeans, and work boots.
