INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The latest COVID-19 infection surge is driving up numbers around the state.
The Indiana Department of Health on Wednesday reported 5,313 new cases with 80 deaths around the state, including one in Dearborn County.
The state’s seven-day positivity rate was at 14.8%.
Locally, Ripley County had 36 new cases, Franklin County 31, Dearborn County had 26, and Decatur County reported 18 new positives on Wednesday.
Franklin County stays at Red on the state metrics map while Decatur County moves from Red to Orange.
Ripley and Dearborn counties remain in Orange.
