Franklin County’s Varsity Softball team picked up a great win on Senior night defeating Cambridge City Lincoln 10 – 0!
Prior to the game, the Wildcats recognized their three seniors – Camryn Brewer, Kloe Bolos, and Kiya Rains. All three have been great parts of our softball program these past four years and will go on to do amazing things after high school! Congratulations to these three and good luck with your future plans!
Following the ceremony, the Wildcats were locked in and ready to play against the Golden Eagles.
Franklin County’s victory was highlighted by Bree Bischoff’s masterful pitching and great defense from the Wildcats. Bischoff did a great job keeping the Golden Eagle hitters off-balance and they really struggled to hit the ball square off of Bischoff’s pitching. Then when they occasionally did hit the ball hard, the Wildcats defense backed her up.
A day after only recording two hits, the Wildcats responded with eleven hits on the evening and scored ten runs to defeat Lincoln. Josie Rolfes led the team with three hits on the evening and Bree Bischoff had the hardest-hit ball of the night driving a home run over the centerfield wall.

The Wildcats didn’t have their best offensive game, but they still managed to pull off a win despite being out-hit in the game four to three. Franklin County was able to manufacture some runs and ran the bases well to set up their scores when they did get clutch hits.
The team also got great pitching from Kendal Cain. Cain pitched a solid game in the circle for the Wildcats as she went the full game and recorded ten strikeouts.
