Charger Golfers Win Over Royals And Eagles In Back-To-Back Events

The Chargers traveled to Knightstown to play the Royals at Royal Hylands Golf Club. The course was in excellent shape, making it a challenging night for both teams. The Chargers improved to 9-5 vs opponents on the year with the night’s win 186-193.

Jack Koehne shot a 43 to tie for his first low medalist of the year with Eastern Hancock’s Gage Deiser. Collin Bryant and Carson Parmer both carded 45s on the night. Cejay Parmer ended the night with a 53 to round out the top four, and Brady Espinda shot a 55 on the night. For the JV, Xavier Adams shot a 48, Austin Shafer and Chris Gauck ended with 52s, and Seth Brandenburg shot a 63.

The Chargers play May 21st at home vs Jac-Cen-Del, and again on May 22nd at North Branch for the MHC Tournament.

The Chargers returned home tonight to play a 9-hole match against the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles winning 162-230.

The teams played the Bridge course at North Branch. It was a very nice night and the course hadn’t gotten any rain in the last few days, so the greens were rolling well. The Chargers combined for a season-low score of 162, led by co-medalists Collin Bryant and Carson Parmer, who each played excellent rounds to finish at 35. Jack Koehne continued his good form to end the night with a 44, while Cejay Parmer rounded out the top 4 with a 48.

Tonight was Senior Night for the Chargers, so the team was happy to help their lone senior, Cejay Parmer, get the win. Cejay played well as he occupied the number one spot for the night, and improved his play from the previous night by 5 strokes. Brady Espinda and Xavier Adams also played for the varsity, ending their nights with a 49 and 51 respectively.

The Chargers look to continue their good run as they return to North Branch tomorrow for their 18 hole conference tournament.
